Delicious.com is the solution to what used to be a a frustrating issue. Here I am -anywhere but my desktop -wanting to access my favorite sites for a project. But can I get to them? No! Do I even remember what many of them are? No, again! With delicious.com, voila, I can click on my favorites, save them, add to them, see similar sites bookmarked by other people, from any computer anywhere. This meets a very real need, since I, like a hundred million or so other people, may be inspired away from home and my school. The convenience and immediacy factors are the most important ones for me. Coming in a close second is that I can look at sites bookmarked by other people on the same topic. What I found in typing in key words was a tremendous amount of sites I would not have otherwise found. By looking at the tags others used to describe a site I had bookmarked I can expand my thinking for further searching.
So often when I am searching for sites for my professional practice, I feel that I go to the same sites repeatedly because that’s where my key words take me. Sometimes they are great sites, with new information and fresh ideas, and sometimes it seems stale. By being able to see sites on delicious and using the tags and notes, I get outside my comfort level and try some new things.
This is definitely a great Web 2.0 tool.

I totally agree with you about Delicious. I love the idea of accessing my bookmarks any time anywhere. Tagging and searching becomes a whole new skill set for many of us who are digital immigrants, but I know I am learning. I just need to take the time to bookmark everything from home and school. Sounds like a long vacation project!
